GPC Sound System Upgrade

In 2015 I assisted the Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church sound team in upgrading and installing a new, 32 channel digital mixer into their sanctuary.  The old system used a 16 channel Mackie analog mixer, and several pieces of outboard audio processing gear.  The church had recently started to incorporate contemporary bands into parts of their Sunday morning worship, and had run into several issues mixing the live bands in worship.  The primary issue was that while the location of the mixer was ideal to mix the pulpit, it wasn't ideal to mix the bands, at the other end of the sanctuary.  The system I designed used the new Presonus RM32AI rackmount digital mixer, which allowed the sound team to mix Sunday morning worship using an iPad, anywhere in the sanctuary.
